Zachary Michael "Zach" Bell (born November 14, 1982 ) is a Canadian sports director and former cyclist who competed in races on track and road .
Athletic career
In 2008 Zack Bell won a stage of the Vuelta a El Salvador . The following year he became two-time Pan-American champions, in the Omnium and with Svein Tuft in the two-man team . At the track World Cup in Cali , he won the scratch competition . In 2010 he won bronze in the same discipline at the Commonwealth Games . In the 2010/11 season he won the overall ranking in the Omnium of the Track Cycling World Cup .
In 2008 and 2012 , Bell started in track disciplines at the Olympic Games. In 2008 in Beijing he finished seventh in the points race and, together with Martin Gilbert, twelfth place in the two-man team race , four years later he was eighth in the Omnium.
At the UCI Track World Championships in Melbourne in 2012 , Bell was runner-up in the Omnium , and Canadian road champion the following year.
At the end of 2015, Zach Bell ended his active cycling career and became sporting director of the Optum women's cycling team , since 2016 Rally Cycling .
