Gundi Feyrer

Gundi Feyrer (born April 19, 1956 in Heilbronn ) is a German visual artist and writer .

Life

Gundi Feyrer completed an apprenticeship as a stonemason from 1975 to 1978 after graduating from high school . From 1978 to 1980 she studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and from 1980 to 1984 free art at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg . She has worked as a filmmaker , object artist and draftsman since 1982 and appears as a performer with her own texts. After stays in Hamburg, Paris , Madrid , Vienna and Córdoba , she now lives in Vienna again.

Gundi Feyrer is the author of prose texts , poems , plays and radio plays .

Gundi Feyrer is a member of the “ Bielefelder Colloquium Neue Poesie ” and the Graz Authors' Assembly .

Awards

She received u. a. the following awards: 1986 a literary prize of the city of Hamburg , 1994 NCKaser Poetry Prize , 1995 3sat - scholarship at the Ingeborg Bachmann competition in Klagenfurt and the town clerk office of Graz and the 1999 Alfred Gesswein Literature Prize , 2002 Austrian State Scholarship for Literature and 2005 the Heimrad-Bäcker-Preis and 2018 the HC Artmann-Preis .
