Gunter († 942 ) was the 11th Bishop of Regensburg in 942 . He is venerated as a blessed .

Gunter was a monk of the Sankt Emmeram monastery . At the time of his appointment he was custodian . The chronicler and bishop Thietmar von Merseburg described his appointment as a legendary tale from which the appointment by the king becomes clear and the people and clergy could only give their formal approval. Like the other first Regensburg bishops, Gunter was also head of the Sankt Emmeram monastery.
