Háj (German Göhe ) is a district of the Habartice municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located two kilometers southeast of the Polish city of Zawidów, directly on the state border and belongs to the Okres Liberec .

geography

Háj is located on the left side of the border brook Kočičí potok / Koci Potok ( Katzbach ) in the Jizera Mountains foothills . The Háj ( Katzenstein , 307 m) rises to the northeast, the Zadní vrch ( Mittelberg , 308 m) to the southeast and the Skalka (339 m) to the southwest.

Neighboring towns are Stary Zawidów in the north, Miedziane in the northeast, Łowin in the east, Bulovka in the southeast, Horní Pertoltice in the south, V Poli in the southwest, Černousy in the west and Habartice and Zawidów in the northwest.

history

The rule for civil Seidenberg - Friedland associated village came after the Battle of White Mountain and the confiscation of goods Christoph von Rederns as part of the separated domination Friedland 1620 Albrecht of Wallenstein . After the Lusatia was pledged to Kursachsen , the Katzbach formed the border between Bohemia and Saxony in this area. After the division of Upper Lusatia , Göhe lay on the Austrian-Prussian border from 1815. In 1830 the village belonging to the Bunzlauer Kreis consisted of 49 houses and had 270 inhabitants. Some of the residents were Protestant, they were parish to Seidenberg in Prussia. In the village school, Catholic and Protestant children were taught together. The water power of the Katzbach drove a grinding mill and a board mill.

After the abolition of patrimonial rule , the political municipality of Göhe was established in the judicial district of Friedland or Friedland district . In 1930 there were 220 people living in Göhe. After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Reich in October 1938 and belonged to the Friedland district until 1945 . In 1939 the community had 190 inhabitants. After the Second World War took place the expulsion of the German population and the settlement of Czechs in the area of Sedlčany and Votice . On April 25, 1952, Háj was incorporated into Habartice . Since 1961 the village has belonged to the Okres Liberec . A footpath through the Katzbach leads to Stary Zawidów in Poland. In 1991 the place had 14 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 11 houses in which 27 people lived.
