Location of bunnies in Bergisch Gladbach

Häschen is a district in the Bensberg district of the city of Bergisch Gladbach in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

Location and description

Häschen (pronounced: Häs-chen) is located at the intersection of Buddestraße and Gladbacher Straße. It now forms a closed settlement area with the surrounding districts, so that it is no longer perceived independently.

history

The Topographia Ducatus Montani by Erich Philipp Ploennies , Blatt Amt Porz , proves that the living space was categorized as a common courtyard in 1715 and was designated with bunnies .

Carl Friedrich von Wiebeking names the court on his charter of the Duchy of Berg in 1789 as Hasken . From it it emerges that at that time rabbit was part of the Bensberg freedom in the parish of Bensberg .

Under the French administration between 1806 and 1813 the Porz office was dissolved and Häschen was politically assigned to Mairie Bensberg in the canton of Bensberg . In 1816 the Prussians converted the Mairie to the mayor's office in Bensberg in the Mülheim am Rhein district .

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 as a bunny and on the Prussian first survey from 1840 without a name. From the Prussian new admission in 1892, it is regularly recorded without a name on measuring table sheets .

Due to the Cologne Act , the city of Bensberg was merged with Bergisch Gladbach to form the city of Bergisch Gladbach with effect from January 1, 1975. Bunny also became part of Bergisch Gladbach.
