In addition, door frames and window frames were made of Högler sandstone in the rural area. At the beginning of the 20th century, the mining came to a standstill. A restored sandstone quarry can be seen in the community of Ainring near the Ulrichshögl rifle house.

About 50 meters as the crow flies from the highest point of the Högl is the Högl transmitter of Deutsche Telekom , which also broadcasts Austrian TV channels, at about 778  m above sea level . The 157 m high mast is the tallest structure in the Berchtesgadener Land district.
