history
In the literature known for Thuringia, no first documentary mention of this settlement could be determined. On the L 1034 in the direction of Wolkramshausen ( Lage → ) there is a menhir at the junction of the L 2080 to Wollersleben . The limestone menhir is about 1.6 m high and has the shape of a leaf. It stands upright and tapers towards the tip. The noticeable hole that goes through the stone is popularly known as the “belly button”. It is reported that the menhir used to stand at a different location. With him it continues the saga of a relationship to that on the Hainleite at Hainrode located ramparts Wöbelsburg manufactures. But it is also possible that he used to stand on the burial ground east of the outskirts of Nohra.
economy
An industrial park has settled in Hünstein. A company also generates bioenergy . The Am Hünstein campsite is well known to many guests. The Hünstein outdoor pool in Nohra (Wipper) was built in 1968 and is well known.
