The Haberstein is a 923 m high elevation on the western slope of the Schneeberg in the Bavarian Fichtelgebirge .
Its western flank is covered by a sea of granite boulders , which is closed off by a large rock tower. It offers a good view of the Ochsenkopf and its newly built ski jump. The next larger town, Bischofsgrün, is also easy to see. The Haberstein can be easily reached on foot via a well-marked network of hiking trails. The Haberstein and the forest area surrounding it are designated as a nature reserve. The Haberstein is designated as a geotope (472R014).
