The Haferriede is the 11.2 kilometers long, orographically left or southern source water of the Möseke in Lower Saxony ( Germany ), hydrographically its upper course.
geography
The Haferriede arises in the Calenberger Land south of Gehrden on the county road 230 to Lemmie from a ditch by definition.
It flows around Gehrden in the south, east and north with a distance of several hundred meters. It crosses under the state road 401 and the federal road 65 near Ditterke and flows northwest towards Lathwehren , where it joins the Kirchwehrener Landwehr to the Möseke .
environment
The Haferriede flows through the intensively agriculturally used Calenberger Lössbörde . The course of the water is largely artificially straightened. The entertainment also takes place by regularly mowing the embankments. This should be reduced in the medium term in order to achieve more natural conditions.
Sights and buildings
The Haferriede passes the Dunau manor southeast of Lathwehren . The Galerieholländermühle there replaced the previously burnt down watermill on the foundations of which it was built.
The bridge on Landesstraße 401 near Ditterke is a listed building .
