content

Cosplayer as main characters Shōyō Hinata and Tobio Kageyama

The middle school student Shōyō Hinata ( 日 向 翔 陽 ) has been passionate about volleyball since he saw the broadcast of the national championship. In the game there was also a little athlete like himself, who was nevertheless superior to the others. With him as a role model, Hinata joins his school's club, but he is the only boy in it and has to train alone or with the girls. Nevertheless, he shows a lot of talent and commitment. He can finally find players for the district's youth championship, but they lose the first game. He swears to the captain of the opposing team, the well-known Tobio Kageyama ( 影 山 飛 雄 ), that he will one day defeat him.

When Hinata starts high school, he chooses the Karasuno high school, known for the volleyball team, to which his role model also went. But there he meets Kageyama, who also changes to this school. Now both are on the same team and have to pull themselves together at the captain's command. After the two manage to respect each other in joint training, there is a dispute with other newcomers to the club.

The Karasuno volleyball team is growing closer and closer together after many training sessions, test matches and smaller tournaments. Above all, Hinata and Kageyama are now playing better and better together, despite initial arguments, and are able to manage surprising rapid attacks. The captain sees great potential in the team and hopes that Karasuno will take part in the national volleyball championships again at some point. To achieve this goal, the team must beat other strong high school teams in tournaments. So new rivalries arise over and over again, but also old rivals, like the team from the Nekoma high school, become opponents again.
