Head over heels (Head Over Heels) is an American film comedy by Mark Waters from the year 2001 .
action
The art restorer Amanda Pierce finds her boyfriend in her apartment, who is having sex with another woman. Then she moves into an apartment as a new roommate, in which four models already live: Canadian Jade, Russian Roxana Milla Slasnakova, Australian Candi and African American Holly. The women like to party.
Pierce finds her neighbor Jim Winston attractive. Her roommates help her conquer Jim. One day, however, she observes through the window that Winston appears to have murdered a woman. The alerted police did not find a body.
It is later revealed that Winston - whose real name is Bob Smoot - is an undercover agent for the FBI . The alleged murder was re-enacted for tactical reasons. Amanda and Jim get back together.
Reviews
Desson Howe wrote in the Washington Post on February 2, 2001, Monica Potter and Freddie Prinze Jr. can be liked in their roles. However, the film is "just a mediocre vehicle for two budding stars" ("just another bland, fair-to-middling vehicle for two emerging, fledgling stars").
The lexicon of international films wrote that comedy confused speed and hectic as well as humor and bad taste. She lends awkwardly to Hollywood screwball comedies and Alfred Hitchcock . The main actors lack the charm. The comedy is a boring, talentless "assembly line production".
The German Film and Media Evaluation FBW in Wiesbaden awarded the film the title valuable.
background
The film was shot in New York City and Vancouver . Its production amounted to an estimated 14 million US dollars . The comedy grossed approximately $ 14 million in cinemas worldwide.
