Tomb of the Mutilated ( English for grave of the mutilated ) is the third studio album by the American death metal band Cannibal Corpse . It is the last album with guitarist Bob Rusay.

background

Like its two predecessors, the album was indexed in Germany by the federal inspection agency for media harmful to minors. So a version had to be released for the German market, on which a “neutral” cover painting was shown. The texts were also not printed. The original cover showed two zombies , the male pleasing the female zombie leaning against a sarcophagus orally . The neutral cover shows a zombie with a knife standing in front of a covered woman. Both pictures were drawn by Vincent Locke. The band was also banned from playing the songs at concerts in Germany at the request of the Saarland teacher Christa Jenal . However, in 2006 the ban was lifted.
