Handball GDR Oberliga (women) 1970/71

The East German handball championship of the women was with the season 1970/71 held for the 21st time. The SC Leipzig defended its title for the fourth time in a row and won its seventh title overall. The BSG Lokomotive Dresden was the only relegated. The newcomer BSG Post Magdeburg, on the other hand, was able to assert itself in 8th place.
