Handball GDR Oberliga (women) 1968/69

The handball GDR league for women in the 1968/69 season was used to determine the GDR champion in women's indoor handball .

Season course

As in previous seasons, the 1968/69 Oberliga was played with ten teams from October 1968 to March 1969. The defending champion was SC Leipzig , while the company sports associations Lokomotive Dresden and Lokomotive Stralsund competed as promoters . At the end of the season, BSG Post Magdeburg and newcomer Lok Stralsund were relegated. The women of SC Leipzig celebrated their third title win, but had to accept a draw in addition to 17 won games in contrast to the previous year.
