Hannah Louise Miley (born August 8, 1989 in Swindon , United Kingdom ) is a British intermediate swimmer .

Career

At the short course world championships in Manchester in 2008 she was runner-up in the 400 m individual medley behind Kirsty Coventry in a new European record time. In addition, she won the bronze medal in the 200 m medley in these competitions.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , Miley represented the United Kingdom in the 200 meter and 400 meter medley.

Miley won her first international title at the European Short Course Championships in 2009 in Istanbul over 400 meters. She won the bronze medal in the 200 meter medley. She also won the gold medal in the 400 m medley at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 .

At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 , she reached fifth place over 400 m individual medley.

At the European Short Course Championships in Chartres in November 2012 , she won the title over 400 meters in a new European record time of 4: 23.47 minutes. Three weeks later she became world champion in Istanbul and was able to improve the record again by 33 hundredths to 4: 23.14 minutes.

At the Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow she won the gold medal in the 400 m medley and the bronze medal in the 200 m medley.

She currently lives in the Scottish town of Inverurie .
