Hans-Heinrich Simon

Hans-Heinrich Simon (born March 27, 1931 in Quedlinburg ; † February 6, 2010 ) was a German party functionary of the GDR block party NDPD . He was a member of the State Council of the GDR .

Life

Simon, the son of a craftsman , attended high school and learned to be a carpenter from 1945 to 1948 . In 1949 he joined the Free German Trade Union Federation and in 1951 the National Democratic Party of Germany (NDPD). From 1948 to 1958 he worked as a carpenter. In 1951/1952 he attended the technical school for applied arts and the Magdeburg master school and became a foreman. From 1955 to 1959 he completed a distance learning course at the engineering school for construction in Magdeburg. He completed his studies as a civil engineer . From 1958 to 1963 he was department head and technical manager and from 1963 to 1972 chairman of PGH wood processing in Quedlinburg. He then worked from 1972 to 1979 as director of VEB Möbelwerk Quedlinburg, and from 1979 as deputy general director and as director for sales at VEB Möbelkombinat Dessau .

From 1959 to 1961, Simon was a member of the NDPD local board in Quedlinburg, then from 1961 to 1963 of the NDPD district board in Quedlinburg and finally from 1963 to 1967 and from 1974 to 1977 a member of the NDPD district board and the Halle (Saale) district committee . From 1967 he was a member of the NDPD main committee. From 1960 to 1972 he was a member of the Quedlinburg district board of the Chamber of Crafts and from 1961 to 1963 a member of the district council . 1963 to 1967 he worked as a member of the Halle district assembly and as chairman of the permanent commission for local utilities. From 1967 to 1986 he was finally a member of the People's Chamber , there from 1976 to 1986 deputy chairman of the Committee for Trade and Supply. Between 1967 and 1971 Simon was also a member of the GDR State Council.

In 1986 Simon retired.
