Hans Cossy , actually Hans Cosiolkofsky (born October 4, 1911 in Cologne , † July 31, 1972 in Bayreuth ) was a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Hans Cossy took acting lessons from O. Kaiser in Cologne from 1927 to 1929 and made his theatrical debut as Valentin in Goethe's Faust in Bad Godesberg. Stage engagements in Bonn, Wuppertal, Cologne and Munich should follow. Since 1946, Cossy also worked in film, later television was added. He played a supporting role alongside Hildegard Knef in Alraune (1952) and played General Erich Fellgiebel alongside Bernhard Wicki in It happened on July 20 about the Hitler assassination attempt. Cossy became known to a large audience primarily through two television roles: In 1966 he played the deputy commander-in-chief of the space forces, Marshal Kublai Krim, in the science fiction series Raumpatrouille - The Fantastic Adventures of Spaceship Orion , which is still successful today . In the same year he also played Patrick Kinsey in the street sweeper The Gentlemen ask for cash over the British mail robbery . Kinsey was modeled on the mail robber Ronald "Buster" Edwards , who fled to Mexico after the robbery but later turned himself in to the authorities and died of suicide in 1994 at the age of 62 .

In addition, Cossy was also active in the dubbing and lent his voice u. a. Sarek ( Mark Lenard ), father of Mr. Spock in the television series Starship Enterprise .

He has also been heard as a radio play speaker in numerous productions, including the only Paul Temple radio play that was written by the 1959 BR under the direction of Willy Purucker , namely in Paul Temple and the Conrad case .

Cossy's marriage to Vera Kohlen, made known in 1961/1962 under her second married name Vera Brühne (1937 to 1953) came from the daughter Sylvia († 1990). He rests with Vera Brühne in the Solln forest cemetery in Munich (grave location: 13-1-102). Her name is not noted on the tombstone. From 1965 to 1969 he was married to his colleague Emely Reuer .
