Hans Sondermann (born November 22, 1941 ) is a former German football player and coach . From 1969 to 1971 the midfielder played 37 games in the Bundesliga with MSV Duisburg and scored eight goals.
Career
Sondermann came from the amateur club Westfalia Scherlebeck from Herten for the 1962/63 season to TSV Marl-Hüls in the football league West . The half-forward in the World Cup system at that time made his debut under coach Rudi Gutendorf on October 14, 1962 in the 0-1 away defeat at Westfalia Herne in the league. In the last year of the old first-class league system, Marl-Hüls ranked 16th at the end of the round with players like Heinz van Haaren , Karl-Heinz Sell , Günter Peters, Horst Wandolek and Christoph Walter . Sondermann had scored three goals in 17 league games. On May 11, 1963, the first-class league era ended for Sondermann and Marl-Hüls with a 0-1 away defeat at Schwarz-Weiß Essen. With the new introduction of the Bundesliga as the top performance in the DFB from the 1963/64 season, second-rate football took place in five regional leagues in the future. Sondermann signed with Westfalia Herne in the West Regional Football League for two years .
The team from the Stadion am Schloss Strünkede finished in the debut year of the second-rate Regionalliga West 1963/64 under coach Hans Hipp and players like Jürgen Bandura , Hans Cieslarczyk , Gerhard Clement , Jürgen Koch , Alfred Pyka , Wolfgang Scheid and Horst Wandolek behind Alemannia Aachen, the Wuppertal SV, Fortuna Düsseldorf, TSV Marl-Hüls and Viktoria Köln took sixth place. Sondermann had played 33 league games and scored nine goals, mostly as a half-forward. In the second year he finished twelfth with Herne under the new coach Herbert Burdenski and the two newcomers Friedhelm Dick and Günter Graetsch . Sondermann had scored ten goals in 24 round matches.
After two years at Herne with 57 regional league appearances and 19 goals, he signed a new contract for the 1965/66 season with TuS Neuendorf in the Südwest regional football league . In his debut year for Neuendorf, he played 26 league games and scored ten goals. TuS came fourth behind FK Pirmasens, 1. FC Saarbrücken and 1. FSV Mainz 05. In the two rounds in 1967/68 and 1968/69 , Sondermann and colleagues under coach Herbert Rappsilber won the runner-up with TuS Neuendorf twice, each behind SV Alsenborn . In the two rounds of promotion he was unable to achieve promotion to the Bundesliga with teammates such as Rudolf Krätschmer (goalkeeper), Helmut Horsch , Otto Jaworski, Werner Hölzenbein , Günter Funke, Rudolf Stracke, Alfred Brecht and Bernd Vogtmann. After four rounds in Neuendorf with a total of 86 regional league games and 26 goals, as well as eleven rounds of promotion, the midfielder was committed to Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg for two years in the summer of 1969.
He made his debut under coach Robert Gebhardt on August 16, 1969 in a 0-1 away defeat against Hertha BSC in the Bundesliga. With the "Zebras" he experienced the fight to stay in the league. With his colleagues Willibert Kremer and Djordje Pavlic , he mostly formed the midfield of the Lower Rhine team. Bernd Lehmann and Helmut Huttary completed the trio. Sondermann played 30 league games and scored eight goals when he reached 15th place in the MSV. In his second year in Duisburg 1970/71, Rudolf Faßnacht, a new trainer took over the position of instructor and with Bernard Dietz , Gerhard Kentschke , Volker Danner and Georg Damjanoff four reinforcements came to Wedau. Since a midfielder made the breakthrough in the technically good and very enthusiastic Johannes Linßen , Sondermann only added seven more Bundesliga games at MSV. After a total of 37 games in the Bundesliga with eight goals, he joined Bayer 05 Uerdingen for the last three years of the old second-rate Regionalliga West from the 1971/72 season .
In the last two regional league years 1972 and 1973 , Uerdingen landed in third place under coach Klaus Quinkert . Alongside goalkeeper Manfred Kroke , Norbert Brinkmann , Paul Hahn , Wolfgang Lüttges , Friedhelm Funkel , Peter Falter , Ludwig Lurz and the outstanding goalscorer Manfred Burgsmüller, Sondermann was part of the successful regular formation of the team from the Grotenburg Stadium in Krefeld. On April 21, 1974, the 32nd matchday of the 1973/74 season, Uerdingen won the home game against eventual runner-up Rot-Weiß Oberhausen with 5-2 goals. The midfield of the home eleven was occupied by Sondermann, Funkel and Lüttges. On matchday 34, May 5, Uerdingen finished the round with the identical midfield formation with a 2-0 away win at Alemannia Aachen in third place. The 32-year-old Sondermann had appeared in 30 games and scored three goals. In three years at Bayer 05 Uerdingen, he made 83 league games with eleven goals. Overall, he is led in the statistics with 226 regional league games with 56 goals.
After his active career, Sondermann worked for many years as a trainer in the amateur field and was mainly active in the football league of North Rhine . Among other things, he looked after SC Jülich , Viktoria Goch , Hamborn 07 , TuS Xanten and 1. FC Bocholt .
