Harvey Pitt

Harvey Lloyd Pitt (* 28. February 1945 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American university teachers and politicians of the Republican Party , which between 2001 and 2003 Chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission ( Securities and Exchange Commission ) was.

Life

After graduating from Stuyvesant High School in New York in 1961, Pitt began an undergraduate degree at Brooklyn College , which he completed in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA). A subsequent postgraduate study of law at St. John's University , he completed in 1968 with a Juris Doctor (JD). He then began his professional career at the US Securities and Exchange Commission and in 1975, at the age of 30, became its youngest chief legal advisor (General Counsel) .
