The main road C28 ( English : Main Road C28 ) is the shortest connection road between central Namibia and the south Atlantic coast and, in addition to the national road B2, a scenic alternative for the car route between Windhoek and Swakopmund . It is mostly a gravel road .

The C28 crosses the Namib-Naukluft National Park and the Namib Desert .
