Heather Mazur

Heather Mazur (born June 17, 1976 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania ) is an American actress . She gained fame primarily through the role of Sarah Cooper from the horror film Return of the Undead and as Amy Battaglia from the LA Crash series .

life and career

Heather Mazur is from Pittsburgh, where she graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts . She then earned her Masters of Fine Arts from Yale University . She took on her first role at the age of 14, when she was in one of the leading roles in front of the camera for the horror film The Return of the Undead by director Tom Savini . She took on her next role a few years later, in 2003 she appeared in a guest role on the series The Streets of Philadelphia . This was followed by roles in Numbers , Joey and CSI: NY . In 2008 she starred in the fantasy comedy Just About Her Corpse .

Between 2008 and 2009 she played as Amy Battaglia one of the leading roles in the LA Crash series , which was discontinued after just one season. Since then, she has appeared in the series Medium - Nothing remains hidden , CSI: Miami , Criminal Minds , The Mentalist , Pretty Little Liars , Bones - The Bone Hunter , Switched at Birth , Modern Family , Glee , House of Lies , Navy CIS , Doubt , 9-1-1 , Grey's Anatomy , Magnum PI and How to Get Away with Murder in guest roles. At the same time, she was seen in a few smaller films.

Between 2011 and 2015 she appeared repeatedly as Darlene Saxton in Awkward - My so-called life . In 2019 she took on a supporting role as Angela Miller in the series Good Trouble . In addition to her appearances in front of the camera, Mazur is also regularly on the theater stage.
