Heidkoppelmoor and the surrounding area
The Heidkoppelmoor and the surrounding area is a nature reserve in the Stormarn district in Schleswig-Holstein .
The nature reserve northeast of the Lottbeker reservoir was designated in 1995. It puts a fen under protection. Peat was extracted here until the 1950s . The area covers 62 hectares in the Ammersbeker and Ahrensburg areas. The "fen and species-rich wet grassland areas as core zone, adjacent meadow, pasture and forest biotopes as development areas and buffer zones" are under protection.
The core zone has meadows with orchids and rare sedges as well as bog areas with two types of cottongrass and various endangered swimming beetles. At the edge of the river Moorbek (source river of the Lottbek ) flows through a birch - alder - quarry forest . Numerous amphibians such as the moor frog and crested newts live in the area.
fauna
The saber-thorn insect ( Tetrix subulata ) (species on the Schleswig-Holstein Red List) and the marsh insect ( Stethophyma grossum ) are known in the area.
The spider fauna is very diverse due to the small-scale changing conditions. During an inspection in 2009, the four-spotted cross spider ( Araneus quadratus ) and autumn spiders (genus Metellina ) were found in large numbers. Canopy spiders are also found. 2012 were u. a. different types of wolf spiders and the cunning spider ( Pisaura mirabilis ) are registered.
