Heimbach is a district of the city of Bad Schwalbach in the Hessian Rheingau-Taunus district . For the district, there is a local district with the town council .
Geographical location
Heimbach is located north of the core town of Bad Schwalbach at an altitude of around 390 meters in the valley of the Heimbach , a left tributary of the Nesselbach , which flows into the Aar through Bad Schwalbach . The district of Heimbach belongs to the Western Aartaunus , a natural subdivision of the western Hintertaunus .
history
Heimbach is first mentioned in a document around the year 1260. According to the wisdom of the 15 village communities , a document in the main state archive of Wiesbaden from April 21, 1489, the place belonged to the overheight villages of the Rheingau and later to the lower county of Katzenelnbogen .
Since December 31, 1971, Heimbach has been part of Bad Schwalbach after a voluntary merger in the course of the regional reform in Hesse . As for every district outside the core city, the main statute established a local district for Heimbach with a local advisory board and local councilor .

The Upper German-Raetian Limes runs on the northern edge of the district.
The life of the club is supported by the volunteer fire brigade and the Heimbach Carneval Club. There has been a community center on site since 1983.
