Herbert Taschner
Herbert Taschner (born July 21, 1926 in Munich , † November 18, 1994 in Bad Aibling ) was a German film editor .
Life
Taschner trained as a toolmaker and precision mechanic in Munich from 1940 to 1943 and joined the Navy as a radio operator in the spring of 1943 . After the war, he began working for Bavaria Film in 1946 , where he initially worked as a lighting technician in several films.
In 1947 he began a traineeship at the Bavarian copier and trained as a cameraman . Until 1952 he worked as a camera assistant for various cameramen, especially Richard Angst . At the end of 1950 he began training in film editing and from 1951 worked as an assistant editor.
At the end of 1953 he was responsible for the first time as an editor for the Heimatfilm Wedding Bells. The type of films edited by Taschner largely corresponded to the prevailing current trends in German film. Homeland films in the fifties were followed by adventure films in the sixties and sex films in the seventies. In particular, several episodes of the successful schoolgirl reports series were brought into the final version. Most recently he was editor of the ZDF crime series SOKO 5113 . He was temporarily married to colleague Ingeborg Taschner . His son is the actor and voice actor Kai Taschner (* 1957).
