Hermann Wilske

Hermann J. Wilske (* 1950 ) is a German teacher and music pedagogue . In Baden-Württemberg he holds leading positions in several umbrella organizations of musical life, is President of the State Music Council of Baden-Württemberg and a member of the German Music Council .

Life

Hermann Wilske first studied school music , church music and German studies at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg , then musicology and history at the University of Augsburg . There he wrote his dissertation on Max Reger in 1993 with the title Max Reger - on reception in his time . After his studies he worked as a teacher for music and German at the Schickhardt Gymnasium in Herrenberg and was a lecturer for music education at the music academies in Trossingen and Karlsruhe .

From 1997 to 2006 Wilske was state chairman of the Association of German School Musicians (VdS) in Baden-Württemberg . At the music competition “ Jugend musiziert ” in Baden-Württemberg, he is the first chairman. Wilske has been working with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation since 2006 and is co-editor and author of the “Bildungsoffensive Musikunterricht”.

In June 2011, Hermann Wilske was elected President of the State Music Council of Baden-Württemberg by the general assembly, after having held this position temporarily since September 2010 due to the illness of his predecessor Wolfgang Gönnenwein . Within the State Music Council, Wilske is particularly active in the field of music education in schools and heads the two working groups “Music Education” and “Teacher Training”.

As President of the State Music Council , he represents the state of Baden-Württemberg in the German Music Council . He has a seat on the media council of the State Office for Communication Baden-Württemberg and on the state school advisory board . Wilske is also a member of the SWR - Broadcasting Council and there, once again a member of the Radio Committee, Telemedia Committee and State Program Committee and the country's Broadcasting Council of Baden-Wuerttemberg. He has also been a member of the “Cultural Education” advisory board at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for Science, Research and Art since 2011 .

Political commitment

Hermann Wilske is a member of the CDU and ran for the municipal council of his place of residence in Grafenau in the municipal elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2009 and 2014 .
