Herzsprung (Angermünde)
Herzsprung is a district of the city of Angermünde in the Uckermark district in Brandenburg and is located in the Schorfheide-Chorin biosphere reserve .
history
Archaeological finds prove a settlement between the 2nd and 5th centuries. The place was first mentioned in a document in 1281. On May 15, 1895, the station on the Berlin-Szczecin Railway was opened. A good hundred years later, on May 27, 1995, the station, which had meanwhile been downgraded to a halt, was closed. From 1992 onwards, Herzsprung was part of the Angermünde-Land office . After the office was dissolved in 2003, it was incorporated into the city of Angermünde.
Attractions
- The village church was built in the first half of the 16th century.
- The war memorial commemorates the inhabitants who died in the First World War .
- The ant fountain was designed by the artist Mecky Ferber.
