Onville is a French commune with 527 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015: Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Briey and the canton of Pont-à-Mousson (until 2015: canton of Chambley-Bussières ). The inhabitants are called Onvillois .
geography
Onville belonged to the former province of Trois-Évêchés and is located 24 kilometers east-southeast of Metz in the Lorraine Regional Nature Park . Onville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chambley-Bussières in the north and north-west, Gorze in the north and north-east, Vandelainville and Bayonville-sur-Mad in the east, Pagny-sur-Moselle in the south and south-east, Prény in the south and south-west, Villecey-sur- Mad to the west and southwest and Waville to the west.
