Villecey-sur-Mad is a French commune with 340 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2016: Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Briey and the canton of Pont-à-Mousson (until 2015: canton of Chambley-Bussières ). The inhabitants are called Onvillois .

Villecey-sur-Mad belonged to the former province of Trois-Évêchés and is located 25 kilometers east-southeast of Metz in the Lorraine Regional Nature Park . Villecey-sur-Mad is surrounded by the neighboring communities Waville in the north and west, Onville in the east and northeast and Prény in the south and southeast.
