Auboué is a French commune with 2,514 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Briey and the Canton of Jarny (until 2015 Homécourt ).

geography

The former mining community is located on the border with the Moselle department , about 20 kilometers northwest of Metz . The Orne runs in a loop through the municipality, on the northern outskirts of Auboué the Woigot flows into the Orne.
