Moutiers is located about 19 kilometers northwest of Metz on the Woigot River . Moutiers is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Val de Briey in the north, Homécourt in the east and south-east, Auboué in the south-east, Valleroy in the south and Les Baroches in the west and south-west.
