Cons-la-Grandville ( Lorraine Con-lai-gran-velle ) is a French commune in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ).

geography

The municipality of Cons-la-Grandville is located on the upper reaches of the Chiers , about ten kilometers south of the border with Belgium . The winding river Chiers has dug its way up to 80 m deep into the surrounding area. The river slopes are wooded; in the north-west the large forest Boid le Moine dominates . The south of the Chiers subsequent plateau is dominated by arable land. Neighboring municipalities of Cons-la-Grandville are Villers-la-Chèvre in the north, Lexy in the northeast, Cutry in the east, Ugny in the south and Montigny-sur-Chiers in the west.
