Moineville is a French commune with 1,083 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Briey and the Canton of Jarny (until 2015 Homécourt ). The inhabitants are called Moinvillois .
geography
Moineville is about 18 kilometers northwest of Metz on the Orne , a tributary of the Moselle . Moineville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Valleroy in the north, Auboué in the east, Sainte-Marie-aux-Chênes in the east and south-east, Batilly and Jouaville in the south, Giraumont in the south-west and Hatrize in the west.
The A4 autoroute runs through the municipality .
