Mont-Bonvillers is located about 39 kilometers south-southwest of Luxembourg and 25 kilometers west-southwest of Thionville . Mont-Bonvillers is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Murville in the north and north-west, Malavillers in the north-east, Anderny in the east, Mairy-Mainville in the south and Landres in the west.
