Anderny is a French commune with 254 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Briey and the canton of Pays de Briey (until 2015: canton of Audun-le-Roman ). The inhabitants are called Andernois .

Anderny is about 35 kilometers south-southwest of Luxembourg and 21 kilometers west-southwest of Thionville . Anderny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Malavillers in the north and north-west, Audun-le-Roman in the north and north-east, Sancy in the east and north-east, Tucquegnieux in the south and south-east, Mairy-Mainville in the south and south-west and Mont-Bonvillers in the west and south-west.
