Hettersroth is a district of the municipality of Birstein in the Hessian Main-Kinzig district . The hamlet of Höfen also belongs to the village .

geography

The place is located in the lower Vogelsberg southwest of Birstein. State road 3195 runs through the village .

history

Hettersroth was first mentioned in a document in 1361. The chapel was built in 1530 . It was destroyed in the Thirty Years War and never rebuilt. In 1939 the place belonged to the district of Gelnhausen and had 327 inhabitants.
