from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hilger Hertel the Younger (born March 21, 1860 in Kevelaer , † 1918 in Münster ) was a German architect who - like his father Hilger Hertel the Elder - stood out above all in the field of Catholic sacred buildings.

Life

Hilger Hertel the Younger was the son of the Münster diocesan master builder Hilger Hertel (called Hilger Hertel the Elder) and the brother of the architect Bernhard Hertel . After completing his studies, Hertel initially worked as a government master builder ( assessor in public construction) in the state Prussian building administration.

Like his father, Hertel was a member of the Catholic student association VKDSt. Saxonia Münster in the CV .
