Hintschingen is a village on the upper Danube and is part of the municipality of Immendingen in the Tuttlingen district ( Baden-Württemberg ). The place is at the junction of the Black Forest Railway and the Wutachtal Railway . The latter is integrated into the Ringzug concept up to Zollhaus-Blumberg . The Danube Cycle Path R9 leads through the town, which has around 240 inhabitants, directly past the historic town hall and the St. Wendelin chapel. The Geisingen driveway to the motorway from Stuttgart to Singen (Hohentwiel) is around three kilometers away. An Alemannic row grave field was discovered nearby in 1915. The finds are in the collection of the Badisches Landesmuseum in Karlsruhe. The population is predominantly Roman Catholic.

Hintschingen was formerly characterized by agriculture, today there is only one hobby farmer. Only small businesses are based in Hintschingen, so the majority of the employed are commuters.

coat of arms

DEU Hintschingen COA.svg
Blazon : "A blue ploughshare in gold with a white-blue cloud border"
Justification of the coat of arms: The cloud border indicates the coat of arms of the Counts and Princes of Fürstenberg. The ploughshare as a peasant symbol can already be found in older Hintschinger seals. The coat of arms was adopted in this form in 1910.
