Hirschbach is a district of the Saxon town of Glashütte in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

Hirschbach is located about eight kilometers north of Glashütte in the Eastern Ore Mountains . The place is on the Hirschbacher Heide .

history
The Waldhufendorf Hirschbach was first mentioned in a document in 1422. In 1548 the place belonged to the Pirna Office and since 1590 to the Dippoldiswalde Office . From 1856 to 1875 Hirschbach belonged to the Dippoldiswalde court office , then to the Dippoldiswalde administration . The place was parish after Reinhardtsgrimma. In 1900 the area of the district was 352 hectares . The population of Hirschbach was divided into 318 Evangelical Lutheran residents and two Catholics in 1925 . In 1952 Hirschbach became part of the Dippoldiswalde district . Hermsdorf am Wilisch , north of Hirschbach, was incorporated into the municipality in 1968. The Dippoldiswalde district became part of the Weißeritz district in 1994 . A year later, Hirschbach merged with Cunnersdorf , Frauendorf ( Ober- and Niederfrauendorf ) and Reinhardtsgrimma to form the new municipality of Reinhardtsgrimma, which was incorporated into Glashütte in 2008. In August 2008, Hirschbach became part of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district formed from the Saxon Switzerland and Weißeritz districts .
