Hohenbuch is a district of Kirchenlamitz in the Upper Franconian district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains .

Hohenbuch is connected to the neighboring towns of Niederlamitz , Großwendern , Marktleuthen , Raumetengrün and Kirchenlamitz via country roads . In Raumetengrün and in front of Kirchenlamitz these are junctions from State Road 2177 .

In a document about the sale of Epprechtstein Castle by von Wild to the Burgraves of Nuremberg on May 18, 1356, the place is mentioned for the first time in the list of the property sold. In the land register of the six offices of 1499, eight larger properties are described. The name Kapellenäcker indicates the location of a missing chapel. Three farms in the village are under monument protection , they are typical stables from the period from 1800 onwards. The village has recently expanded with several new buildings. In earlier times agricultural properties have been transformed into residential buildings. Houses were modernized and expanded as early as the beginning of the 20th century, the property at number 5, for example, still had a tailcoat roof .
