Holly Valance (* 11. May 1983 in Melbourne , Victoria as Holly Rachel Vukadinović ) is an Australian - British actress , singer and model .
life and career
Holly Valance's father Rajko Vukadinovic comes from Serbia , her mother Rachel from England . Her maternal grandfather was a cousin of British comedian Benny Hill . Valance was taught at a Catholic high school in Melbourne . She has two younger sisters named Coca Melody and Olympia Montana.
From 1999 to 2005 Valance played in the Australian soap Neighbors .
Valance began her singing career in 2002. The first single, Kiss Kiss , released in April 2002 , an English-language version of the hit Şımarık by the Turkish singer Tarkan , was successful, not least thanks to the revealing music video that kept the British tabloid press busy for weeks . In addition to the number one placement in Great Britain, there were top 10 placements across Europe . In the course of this success, the debut album Footprints , released in October 2002, also reached the UK Top 10. The album was awarded gold in Great Britain (more than 100,000 albums sold) and Japan (more than 100,000). Further releases could not repeat the success of the debut single, especially outside of Great Britain their success was not permanent. In November 2003 the album State Of Mind followed , which was hardly noticed outside of Great Britain. In Japan, however, the album developed to a great success and - although there was only one single - was also awarded gold.
Valance made an appearance on the 2004 television series CSI: Miami . In 2005 she played a supporting role in the series Prison Break . In 2006 she starred alongside Paris Hilton in the comedy The Party Animals Are Back! and appeared in the action film D.OA - Dead or Alive in the same year . In 2008 she acted alongside Liam Neeson in the action thriller 96 Hours . She also acted in the computer game - add-on Red Alert 3: The Uprising - the reporter Brenda Snow and in 2007 in the series Moonlight - at the side of her then partner Alex O'Loughlin - the vampire Lola .
Valance was dating her fellow Australian actor Alex O'Loughlin . The two separated in February 2009 after almost four years. On December 22, 2011, she got engaged to British real estate agent Nick Candy. The couple married on September 29, 2012 in Beverly Hills, California . In November 2013 they became parents to a daughter.
