Holy Klassiker is a series of radio plays in which classics from world literature are set to music. The Holysoft label, directed by David Holy, is responsible for production .

production

The selection of the classics took place without any horror or horror works. The background to this was the advertising slogan “For young and old” and the target age group from six years. In order to complete the production quickly in a short period of time, many external writers and editors were brought in to the project. According to the producer, the production of the entire series cost over one million euros.

Actors and speakers

Over 400 actors were used for the production. Most of the roles were filled with well-known voice actors.

Authors

David Holy has been collecting several well-known radio play authors for the project since 2014, who supplied the scripts for the series, including Marco Göllner , who won the Ohrkanus several times, and Johanna Steiner , who was also awarded the Ohrkanus and the German audio book award.

marketing

The work “Baron von Münchhausen” in memory of the death of Gerald Paradies was published free of charge on the producer's YouTube channel . A short time later, other free classics followed, including “The Cold Heart”, “The Wildtöter” and “A Christmas Story”. A display was announced for 2017 that will collectively offer the works for sale. Even before it was published, the series took second place in the radio play award Unheard in the script / children category for Balthasar von Weymarn's script “From someone who set out to learn how to be scary”.
