The CBF 600 is a motorcycle from Honda , which was produced from 2004 to 2013. The displacement of the four-cylinder engine is 599 cm³. It was available as a naked bike (CBF 600 N) or as a sports tourer with partial fairing (CBF 600 S).

General

The CBF 600 had two front and one rear disc brakes . An anti-lock braking system (CBF 600 NA or CBF 600 SA) could also be ordered at an additional cost . A special feature of this motorcycle was its adaptability to the rider. For this purpose, the height of the seat, the distance to the handlebars and, in the case of the semi-clad version, the height of the window could be changed.

The motorcycle was particularly popular with beginners and those returning to work, as it was very good-natured and cheap to buy and maintain. Honda deliberately avoided an aggressive design.

Due to the high sales of the CBF 600, Honda launched the CBF 1000 in 2006 .

Facelift

PC38, 2004-2007

When it appeared in 2004, the Honda CBF 600 was equipped with a carburettor engine. This was taken from the Honda CBR 600 (PC 31) and throttled from originally 102 HP to 78 HP, which is affordable for insurance. From 2006 Honda installed clear glass indicators and extended mirrors.

PC43, 2008-2013

From model year 2008 a new model of the CBF 600 (PC 43) came onto the market. The new model received an adapted engine based on the current CBR600RR engine. This was now an injection (PGMFI injection), which met the Euro3 emissions standard . This was also the main reason for the new model, as the old carburetor engine could not meet this condition for new motorcycles. The weight of the machine was reduced by using a newly developed frame made of die-cast aluminum. Despite the fact that the tank was one liter larger, it weighed less than the previous model. Visually, only small changes were made to the side panel. In addition, the engine has now been painted matt silver instead of black. The optional ABS of the PC 43 has been extended to Combined ABS , so that when the rear brake is operated, a brake piston of the front brake is also operated.
