The MTX 200 R (internal designation MD07) was an enduro from the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Honda .

The model had a liquid-cooled single-cylinder - two-stroke engine operating at a compression ratio of 7.1: 1, a peak power of 20 kW (27 hp) at 7500 min -1 reached. The machine was often sold in Germany with 15 kW (20 PS) due to the insurance staggering. The chassis properties of the motorcycle equipped with a conventional loop frame were contemporary. Honda's own Pro-Link system sprung at the rear . The front of the MTX 200 R had a telescopic fork with a disc brake, protected by bellows . The standard hand protectors and the 21- inch front wheel with tire dimensions 2.75–21 were typical of the Enduro. The rear of the machine had a 4.10-18 tire. It started with Kickstarter .

At times from 1985 to 1988 the machine was also sold under the name MTX 200 RW (MD07). For competition use, there was a performance kit with which the engine delivered 34 hp by making changes to the carburetor nozzles and the exhaust pipe.
