Jan Hooss
Jan Hooss is a German artist and sculptor . Hooss is known internationally as a representative of stucco sculpture.
Life
Jan Hooss was trained as a stucco sculptor from 1984 by Manfred Siller and Xaver Mahler and then studied sculpture with Giuseppe Spagnulo and also with Karl-Henning Seemann at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart . A guest study brought him from 1996 in the class of Marie-Jo Lafontaine at the Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe .
Since 2008 Jan Hooss has been a lecturer in stucco sculpture at various academies, such as the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart . and at the HfBK Dresden .
Hooss lives and works in Stuttgart , if not on a project-by-project basis .
Exhibitions / projects
The project and exhibition work of the artist Jan Hooss covers a broad spectrum and ranges from numerous works in various public castles , museums and galleries worldwide, to projects for international companies, such as DDG Partners in New York City, to the design of private properties, such as of the Chateau Miraval in France by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie .
