Houyet is a municipality in the province of Namur in the Walloon part of Belgium .

In addition to Houyet, the municipality consists of the districts of Ciergnon, Finnevaux, Hulsonniaux, Mesnil-Église, Mesnil-Saint-Blaise, Celles, Custinne, Hour and Wanlin .

Historical buildings

A notable complex is the Vêves Castle , which is located near the district of Celles. The Royal Castle near Ciergnon is the summer residence of the Belgian royal family and King Albert II.
