Jemeppe-sur-Sambre is a municipality in the province of Namur in the Walloon part of Belgium .
It consists of the districts of Jemeppe , Balâtre , Ham-sur-Sambre , Mornimont, Onoz , Saint-Martin and Spy .
In a cave between Onoz and Spy, two almost completely preserved Neanderthal skeletons were found in 1886 , which led to the recognition of the Neanderthal man as an independent human form different from Homo sapiens .
