Huang Zhihong , 黄志紅, Huáng Zhìhóng, (born May 7, 1965 in Lanxi , Zhejiang Province ) is a former Chinese shot putter .

After winning the gold medal at the 1986 Asian Games , Huang Zhihong was eighth at the 1988 Olympic Games with 19.82 meters. At the indoor world championships in 1989 she won silver behind Claudia Losch from the Federal Republic of Germany with 20.25 meters .

In 1990, Huang Zhihong set her best performance with 21.52 meters as the winner of the Chinese national championships. At the Asian Championships in 1990 she was second. At the World Indoor Championships in 1991 , she won silver again with 20.33 meters. Her compatriot Sui Xinmei won . At the outdoor world championships in Tokyo in the same year , Huang Zhihong won with 20.83 meters ahead of world record holder Natalja Lissowskaja , for whom 20.29 meters were measured.

At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , Huang Zhihong won silver with 20.43 meters behind Russian Swetlana Kriweljowa , who won gold for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with a personal best of 21.06 meters. The following year, the Chinese woman was able to return the favor at the 1993 World Championships in Stuttgart . She won with 20.57 meters ahead of Kriweljowa, who won silver for Russia with 19.97 meters.

At the 1995 World Championships , Huang Zhihong won silver with 20.04 meters behind the German Astrid Kumbernuss , who came to 21.22 meters. At the World Indoor Championships in 1997 , Huang Zhihong finished fifth with 18.67 meters. Your last Endkampfplatzierung in a big competition reached Huang Zhihong at the 1997 World Championships when she finished fourth with 19.15 meters and seven centimeters behind the third-placed Stephanie Storp was from Germany.
