IC 1313 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Capricornus on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 152 million light years from the Milky Way and about 90,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on July 25, 1892 .
