IC 2341 is an elliptical galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 226 million light years from the Milky Way and about 90,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2569 , NGC 2570 , IC 2338 , IC 2339 .
The object was discovered on March 2, 1896 by Stéphane Javelle .
