IC 3723 is a compact galaxy of Hubble type C in the constellation Canes Venatici on the northern sky . It is estimated to be 243 million light years from the Milky Way and about 20,000 light years across.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4655 , IC 3713 , IC 3726 , IC 3758 .

The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 21, 1903 .
